New Wiki Aricle

I'm going to make my wiki article about my band Kid Theodore.

The recommendations say you shouldnt write wiki articles on your own band but I think that our article is legitimate for two reasons.

1- We aren't just another local band. We have played with big bands (Snow Patrol, Ben Kweller, St. Vincent), have recieved local and national press coverage (April edition of Spin magazine), and have a pretty big fan base.

2- A fan of ours wrote an article on us but it got deleted cause it didn't have a lot of information cause he didn't know it.

My most important wiki rule is probably leaving out biased material.

Whatever--- about the "leaving out biased material". That sounds awesome -- be sure to leave a ton of links with some of your youtube videos or your site, band story, etc. Leave a link to that Spin article if it's available. You should make up a whole bunch of bullshit about your band as well. Like band fights, an overdose, etc.

1. One wiki-mandment to focus on is not to use the article for personal gain/advertising.
2. Try researching and finding relative links for your band to give it real credit.

I think that because you've been reviewed in a magazine that it makes it worthy of the wikipedia, but i would focus on any reviews that have been done on you as well as including a band history and of course links to myspace or youtube or anywhere you guys might have a sample of music.
